Joseph Paintsil expresses delight after Genk debut

Paintsil joined Genk from Hungarian side Ferencvaros this season
Ghana international, Joseph Paintsil, has expressed his delight after returning from an injury to help KRC Genk beat KV Oostende in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League on Sunday, August 12.
Paintsil marked his debut for the club since signing for Genk due to an injury he sustained during pre-season in July which forced him out of his team’s 4-0 win over Sporting Lokeren in their opening league fixture.

In a post-match interview, the former Tema Youth player revealed that he was no long feeling pains in his right foot and was delighted to return to action.

"I no longer feel any pain in my right foot, the hunger in me is great and delighted to be able to contribute to the first team. I am happy to return to the pitch." he said.

The 20-year-old forward enjoyed full action as the visitors grabbed maximum points at the Versluys Arena against Oostende.

Paintsil, who joined Genk from Hungarian side Ferencvaros, is hugely talented forward who is expected to take the Belgian top-flight by storm in his debut season.

The Ghana had an impressive campaign with Ferencvaros where he appeared 25 times and scored 10 goals in just a single season.
